2025 MLB All-Star Game Odds, Predictions, Home Derby Picks
The 2025 MLB All-Star Game odds for the Midsummer Classic are now available at online sportsbooks! There are various markets on the board, and we’re dissecting the best bets to make for the American League vs. National League.
After losing their first All-Star Game since 2012 two years ago, the American League was able to get back on track last season with a 5-3 win. Are they on the right side this year? Head below to find the latest odds, markets, and my MLB All-Star Game predictions!
2025 MLB All-Star Game Winner Odds
Here are the latest MLB All-Star Game betting odds, courtesy of Bovada:
TEAM | RUN LINE | MONEYLINE | TOTAL |
---|---|---|---|
American League | +1.5 (-220) | -110 | Over 7 (-125) |
National League | -1.5 (+165) | -110 | Under 7 (-105) |
The odds to win the MLB All-Star Game — which is scheduled for Tuesday evening in Atlanta — suggest a toss-up between the American and National League. Both sides have a -110 price to win, which means the best MLB betting sites do not favor either team.
The over/under indicates we should have a duel between the two All-Star pitching staffs. As is typically the case, the All-Star Game is expected to be dominated by the pitchers in a low-scoring matchup at Truist Park. With a total of seven runs, the over is favored slightly at -125, or a 55.6% implied probability.

If you’re a fan of the Detroit Tigers, you are going to like what you see from the American League roster! The Tigers have three hitters in the starting lineup, an additional one coming off the bench, and two starting pitchers.
Two starting outfielders are Tigers, as Riley Greene and Javier Baez will be out there with AL MVP favorite Aaron Judge. It’s been an incredible rise to prominence for Baez after he struggled to find traction in his first four years in Detroit.

With Judge and Cal Raleigh on the same team, the American League has the two top sluggers in baseball. Raleigh leads MLB with 38 home runs, while Judge follows in second with 35. However, the next player in the American League is Riley Greene in eighth with 24 long balls.
Raleigh, Judge, and Greene are first, second, and third in RBIs in the Major Leagues. There is enough firepower on the American League to deliver plenty of damage. Overall, the American League holds a total team bWAR of 44.3 for position players.
Meanwhile, the pitching staff has five hurlers who have been involved in the Cy Young race, including the clear favorite, Tarik Skubal. Skubal is well ahead of the group, as he posted a 2.23 ERA and 0.83 WHIP in the first half. Max Fried, Kris Bubic, Hunter Brown, and Garrett Crochet, along with Skubal, are a potent lineup.
As a combined unit, the American League has a cumulative ERA of 2.34.

The National League starting lineup features some heavyweights. Shohei Ohtani won’t pitch in the All-Star Game, but he will suit up as a DH. Ohtani hit .276 with 32 home runs and 60 RBIs in the first half. Despite being off the pace of last year’s record-breaking numbers, Ohtani is on course to win the NL MVP for the second straight season. It would also be his third consecutive MVP, and fourth award of his career, after winning two with the Los Angeles Angels in 2021 and 2023.
Shohei Ohtani’s NL ranks this season:
1st in HR: 32
1st in SLG:.608
1st in OPS: .988
3rd in triples: 7
4th in BB: 60 pic.twitter.com/uNwE54EcuP— MLB (@MLB) July 13, 2025
He and Ronald Acuna Jr. should be a load to handle for American League pitching. Acuna Jr. has been red-hot in the batter’s box since returning on May 23. The 27-year-old from La Guaira, Venezuela, is hitting .325 with 12 home runs and 22 RBIs. Acuna Jr. and Ohtani should shine, but I suspect Cubs’ standout 23-year-old center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong could steal the show.
Armstrong notched a .265 batting average with 25 home runs and 71 RBIs in the first half. He joins Kyle Tucker as one of two Cubs in the starting lineup for the National League.
While the American League has the top two home run hitters in baseball, the National League has four hitters ranked from third to sixth on their roster. The reserves on the National League roster are mightily impressive.
Having the luxury of Kyle Schwarber, Pete Alonso, James Wood, Eugenio Suarez, Elly De La Cruz, Corbin Carroll, among others, off the bench is incredible. Suarez and Schwarber could easily be starters, with Suarez as one of the hottest hitters in baseball at the moment. He’s belted 10 long balls since June 19, and 31 overall in 2025!

The rotation features some lockdown arms this year. NL Cy Young favorite Paul Skenes gets the call as the All-Star starter in only his second season in the Major Leagues. Skenes is the clear frontrunner for the Cy Young, as he carries a 2.01 ERA and 0.93 WHIP in the second half.
Zack Wheeler, Chris Sale, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto provide the National League with strong options behind Skenes. Paired with a well-balanced offense, the National League will be tough!
MLB All-Star Game 2025 Prediction and Betting Pick
Both starting lineups are dangerous and can cause damage in a hurry. When it comes to pitching, there isn’t much separation, in the least, between the American and National League.
However, when you examine the reserves, the National League has the clear advantage in this matchup. I will gladly take what the National League is offering on the bench over their American League counterparts at Truist Park.
The All-Star Game often goes down to the wire, with reserve players being the difference in the later innings. That leads to me giving the edge to the National League! Expect Skenes and Wheeler to hold things down early, while the National League’s bats should take care of the rest in the clutch innings.
Despite the American League dominating the All-Star Game for more than a decade, the National League has plenty of appeal here. In short, I recommend the National League on the moneyline for your best MLB All-Star Game picks!
2025 MLB Home Run Derby Winner Odds
PLAYER | ODDS |
---|---|
Cal Raleigh (SEA) | +280 |
Oneil Cruz (PIT) | +300 |
James Wood (WSH) | +450 |
Matt Olson (ATL) | +750 |
Byron Buxton (MIN) | +800 |
Brent Rooker (ATH) | +950 |
Junior Caminero (TB) | +1000 |
Jazz Chisholm (NYY) | +1300 |
MLB home run leader Cal Raleigh (+280) is the favorite to win the MLB Home Run Derby. According to the latest odds, Raleigh has a 26.3% implied chance to continue his epic season by winning the Home Run Derby.
Following Raleigh, the Pittsburgh Pirates’ Oneil Cruz (+300) is close behind to win, according to Bovada. Cruz has the unfortunate privilege of playing on the Pirates, but he can add a big piece of hardware to his mantle in Atlanta.
In what should be a wide-open matchup, I don’t recommend playing either of the top favorites. Although Raleigh leads baseball with 38 homers, anything could happen in this format, so +280 doesn’t offer any value to consider.
Instead, I’d look at other hitters, including James Wood (+450), Byron Buxton (+800), and Junior Caminero (+1000).
MLB Home Run Derby 2025 Prediction and Betting Pick
The way I see it, Caminero is being overlooked heavily to win the MLB Home Run Derby. The Rays’ 22-year-old third baseman doesn’t get as much attention as he should be getting this season.
If Caminero were on the Yankees or Dodgers, we’d be hearing about him a lot more often. In any case, he’s quietly going about his business and developing into a force for the Rays. Through 91 matchups, Caminero has hit 23 long balls this season.
Over 23 games since June 21, the native of Santo Domingo has gone deep six times. He can be a streaky hitter, and if Caminero is feeling it at Truist Park, he’s going to be right there in the mix for the Home Run Derby title.
Junior Caminero’s current pace:
156 G
40 HR
33 2B
95 R
104 RBI
.252 AVG
.292 OBP
.501 SLG
.794 OPS
116 wRC+
3.4 fWARWhile there is still room for development in terms of his BB% and lifting the ball even more, he’s been so impressive!#RaysUp pic.twitter.com/NklsH3vLcH
— Running From The OPS (@OPS_BASEBALL) July 13, 2025
Note that Caminero has more home runs than Matt Olson, Buxton, Cruz, and one fewer than James Wood. All of those batters have shorter odds to win the Home Run Derby than Caminero! For the best bet on the board, I recommend Caminero for your 2025 Home Run Derby picks at +1000!
MLB All-Star Game MVP Odds
PLAYER | ODDS |
---|---|
Shohei Ohtani (NL) | +500 |
Aaron Judge (AL) | +550 |
Pete Crow-Armstrong (NL) | +950 |
Ronald Acuna Jr. (NL) | +1000 |
Cal Raleigh (AL) | +1100 |
Bobby Witt Jr. (AL) | +1800 |
Kyle Tucker (NL) | +1800 |
James Wood (NL) | +2000 |
Ohtani (+500) is the leading favorite to win the MLB All-Star Game MVP award. I don’t believe this comes as too much of a surprise, but Judge (+550) and Ohtani as co-favorites may have made more sense.
Currently, Ohtani has a 16.7% implied probability to win MVP, while Judge is nipping at his heels with a 15.4% chance. In other words, the MLB All-Star Game betting odds suggest that if the National League wins, Ohtani likely gets the award, while Judge wins for the American League.
After the two top contenders, Pete Crow-Armstrong (+950) impressively has the third-best All-Star Game MVP odds. Crow-Armstrong is on the cusp of becoming a superstar and has the potential to have a statement performance with the world watching. At +950, Crow-Armstrong holds a 9.5% implied chance to win the award.
MLB All-Star Game 2025 MVP Prediction and Betting Pick
Crow-Armstrong jumps out as a solid MLB All-Star Game pick, but if you want just a little more value, Ronald Acuna Jr. delivers at +1000! The hometown favorite should put on a show in front of the crowd at Truist Park.
As I noted, since returning to the starting lineup in May, Acuna Jr. is in impressive form in Atlanta. The 27-year-old outfielder heads into Tuesday night with a .323 batting average and 12 home runs in 45 games. He has launched homers over the last five games since July 9.
First time batting 3rd in his career?

With Acuna Jr. playing entering the All-Star Game in his home park with plenty of confidence and momentum on his side, I believe we’re getting an excellent price at +1000!
